Well, over the last two weeks, I've been doing some thinking about the way forward to my networking company, Dynamic Young Women. It's been very difficult to engage with the group members, as they are all busy and I think because there are similar personalities etc it has made it difficult to get people to actually get involved and help, rather than sit back and let me do all the work.
That said, we had an excellent seminar session on 28 February, where I presented on social media, but we all discussed and got involved as a group.
Last week, on my way to Hamburg on a business trip, I was thinking on the plane about the way forward and how to get people on board and get more members, with real value for the group. So, I had a chat with two of the members, who happen to be friends, about my ideas and we discussed how we could approach delivering the new ideas and achieving objectives, with the rest of the group.
Since these ideas have flowed, I have managed to put some spark into a seminar that Sacha and I presenting, by incorporating a group activity (cocktail masterclass!) and I've been in touch with Petra from WEST Brewery about talking to the group about her experiences etc - potentially a lunch at WEST, organised by DYW, inviting other interested business women.
The first seminar we are delivering in 2 weeks is already selling well and looks like we could be off to a good start!
I'll post more once we've moved forward.
Good times, onwards and upwards! :)

travel and thinking time
I am just back from a trip to Hamburg for a client show. It was worth it.
I always have a pad and pen handy in case of moments of inspiration but I was really glad I had one with me on my recent trip.
I was inspired to rethink what my networking company does, what it offers and essentially how I can benefit from running it - at the moment, it seems like it's me that's working at it. Maybe understandable since no members get paid for helping, but hey, I don't get paid either!
I have a few people to speak to about the way forward before I present to the rest of the group, but I think it's going to be pretty exciting!
BTW, we are 'recruiting' for new Dynamic Young Women if you are interested!
